Hold Shaft Slicker in the palm of your hand with the soft nylon side up.2. With the pad in this position, place the shaft against the nylon and make a fist tight enough to hold the cue shaft3. Grip the cue with your free hand and slide the shaft slicker back and forth, turning the cue so that the entire stroke portion of the shaft comes into contact with the nylon4. Check smoothness of the shaft by stroking it through your bridge fingers as if you were playing.5. When the shaft is smooth, turn the pad over and repeat the process with the leather side.6.
